What's New

So as spring arrive, so have the bumps and bruises of soccer. We have a little Beckam in our midst. We now shuttle between the swim lessons and as soccer appointments, as AJ calls them. The team that AJ is on is called The Sting and they play their first game on Saturday against the Little Bees. It's also our first ever picture day for AJ. Wow!

We just had a very nice visit from my Dad and his wife Janet. Well, let me rephrase. We had a nice visit, I'm not sure if they will ever come back. Both boys had colds and I came down with a flu bug the day after they arrived. So Dad and Janet found themselves back in the good old days of nursing their little ones, plus one big one back to health. My Dad also took to the house with a fury and fixed some things we thought unfixable. So after they left I was thinking, wow I could get used to this. While I'm sure they were thinking, "How fast can we get this car to go."

More updates soon. Hope all is well.

Fernando Family Update

So AJ has just finished his first session of swim lessons and received all smiley faces on his report card. He starts his next swim class next week. Say a prayer for his teachers. Soccer also starts next week. I had to go to a sporting goods store for the first time for one of my kids. AJ got his first pair of soccer shoes and shin guards. (Shed tear here). Wow, he's growing up so fast. He is also now dressing himself. I'm reminded of this because right at the very moment he is standing infront of me naked showing me his latest masterpiece he picked out. He is really fond of plaid shorts and turtlenecks over turtlenecks (even though it was 78 degrees yesterday.) Fashion is definitely not his niche. Getting him ready for preschool should be interesting.

Ben is his usual crazy self. The comments that seem to follow him in the room are "Wow, he's all boy" and "does he ever stop moving?" So he makes my life really interesting. He has now added Jedi, McDonalds, and pee to his list of most commonly spoken words. We are so proud.

Albert is..well Albert.

And I am doing my best to keep up with them all.
Love and kisses to all.

AJisms:

- "When I grow up I'm going to be a swimmer but when I get bigger I won't need a teacher. Does that matter?"
- "I don't want anymore babies in our family. We already have one and they are dangerous."
- His response after being found playing in the living room when he was supposed to be in time out, "I'm imagining your not mad."

Boating safety at swim lessons. He mastered going in circles.
