Update

We have had a whirlwind of a weekend. AJ was daignosed on Friday with an infection in his bone and he had to be admitted to Brenner's Children's Hospital through Sunday. He is on the mend now, though it will be a long process to get him back to new. He enjoyed his stay at the hospital though. He loved that they brought his food right to his bed and the hospital had lots of fun things to explore. There was a rooftop playground that AJ could limp around at and he had his very own wagon fixed up so he could explore. They also had cars to drive around the floor but in the end he really wanted to go home and get the IV out.

The day AJ was released was also Ben's Birthday. We were planning on cancelling the party but our good friends Nicole and Ben (who were also watching Ben for us) volunteered to move the party to their house. It was great of them and Ben had an awesome time. We really have some good friends here in Winston through our playgroup.

So that's the jist of it. Thanks to all who called and sent their good wishes and prayers to AJ. We love you all.

Spring Update 2007

It has been a very long time since we have updated this blog and so much is going on. This spring Nani, Skylar and Auntie Meg came for their annual visit. We of course had to go to the beach. But this year we kept it simple and stayed around Wilmington, NC. We had an awesome time while they were here and Ben sobbed a good half hour when we dropped them at the airport. They didn't have long to mourn however because Uncle Rom arrived the very next day. We went to an Easter Festival and had a great time.

Since then we have been in and out and all over the place. One of the highlights for the boys was a visit to Lazy 5 Ranch. There we went by wagon through a completely open zoo and the kids were able to get up close and personal with a lot of animals they have only seen from afar. It was amazing.

We are also getting closer to the birth of our third child and for those of you who haven't already heard. The Fernando's are finally getting a girl. God help her.

Anyway, we are all well here and miss all our friends and family who can't be near.

We send all our love,

The NC Fernando Fam
